Karachi Kings are gearing up to acquire their maiden title win in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as they boast a much balanced squad compared to previous seasons of the glamorous T20 tournament. Karachi will be captained by senior all-rounder Imad Wasim, who was also the leader of the side in the last edition of the PSL.
This decision to appoint Imad the Karachi Kings skipper despite the presence of Babar Azam, Pakistan’s T20I captain, in the squad has not been received well by critics. With rumours circulating in the media regarding a leadership dispute between the two high-profile cricketers, Imad has categorically dismissed all such talk and reiterated the fact that he has good camaraderie with Babar.
“There is nothing between me and Babar. He is Pakistan’s captain and I am Karachi’s captain. When I play for Pakistan, we give each other advice. When he will play for Karachi he will give me advice. I think you need to have good relations with everyone,” Imad stressed.
