The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) have completed their tour of Pakistan on a rather successful note by triumphing over Multan Sultans by an expansive margin of 72 runs. Senior England all-rounder Ravi Bopara emerged as the star performer for the MCC as he bludgeoned a 37-ball 70 against a bowling attack comprising the likes of Junaid Khan and Shahid Afridi.
Bopara fashioned a belligerent counterattack by launching extravagant hits all across the Aitchison College Cricket Ground in Lahore. He smashed seven boundaries and four massive sixes in his enterprising stay at the crease.
Bopara was also complemented well with a stable hand from skipper Kumar Sangakkara, who contributed with a 35-ball 52 laced with three sixes and three fours. MCC’s tour to Pakistan ends with two wins and two losses.
