Fakhar Zaman, the opening batsman of Pakistan, remains to be one of the most dangerous batters of the modern day cricket. However, his performances have adopted a downward spiral ever since that match-winning century against India in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
The hard-hitting batsman produced some memorable knocks in the last 3 years or so, but he largely remained inconsistent. Moreover, he had a horrible patch in T20Is of 2019. All this led towards his exclusion from the national team.
However, the 29-year old cricketer is sanguine to shred off a loop of poor shows as he is eyeing a strong performance in the forthcoming edition of the highly admired Pakistan Super League (PSL). Fakhar admitted that his performances weren’t up to the mark and sits confident to regain his place via a series of impressive shows in the highly valued 20-over competition of Pakistan.
Sharing his views, the 29-year old batsman said that his goal is to score a plethora of runs in PSL 2020 and help Lahore record a better performance in Pakistan’s darling T20 competition. Moreover, he was elated to see Qalandars getting 8 home games to enhance his team’s chances to do better.
