Pakistan’s top-order batsman Ahmed Shehzad continues to struggle in high-quality cricket as the right-handed batsman had a poor start to Pakistan Super League edition 5. Quetta Gladiators took on Islamabad United in the opening game at Karachi in which Shehzad only managed to score 7 runs before he was dismissed by Mohammad Musa.
Apart from his batting misery, Shehzad’s record with the run-outs in the history of PSL has been pathetic. Shehzad is involved in 6 run-outs in PSL, out of which 5 times he ran out his partner and got out himself only once. Another run-out incident was seen during the opening game, when he ran out Shane Watson.
Watson played the ball towards the fielder and called Shehzad for a run, initially Shehzad got out of his crease at the non-striker's end and then stopped which forced Watson to rush back but it was too late. Ahmed Shehzad needs to deal with his batting and run-out woes if he plans on having a great time in PSL edition 5.
