Islamabad United’s all-rounder Amad Butt impressed everyone with his bowling as he picked up 4 wickets in the game against Multan Sultans at the Gadaffi Stadium Lahore. Amad played a key role in halting the progress of the Sultans and setting up the stage for United’s first win of Pakistan Super League edition 5.
Amad got the key wickets of James Vince, Rilee Rossouw, Moeen Ali, and Sohail Tanvir in his 4-over spell. His clinical bowling restricted Multan Sultans to a total of 164 runs which was later chased easily by Islamabad United.
The 24-year old has now completed 54 wickets in 38 T20 games he played. Moreover, his batting ability also makes him a strong candidate for selection in the National side. If Amad continues on his good form, he might be in the race towards ICC T20 World Cup.
