England’s all-rounder Moeen Ali became nostalgic on his arrival in Pakistan as Ali has special affiliations with this land. Moeen Ali’s Grand dad and mother were born in Pakistan which makes this place special for him. Talking in a press conference, Moeen admitted that he felt that it was the right time to come to Pakistan and play cricket.
Moeen also expressed his wish of visiting Azad Kashmir where his mother was born. The all-rounder also hailed the arrival of the Pakistan Super League in the country. “It is a big deal for me to come to Pakistan as it is a place where my Grand dad and mother were born. I am also hoping to go to Azad Kashmir, where my mother was born”, Moeen said.
“It is a big thing for my family. My family is here and I cannot wait”, Ali further said. Ali also told the reporters that he was asked multiple times about coming to Pakistan as he had not visited the place for the last 15 years. The left-handed batsman admitted that Mushtaq Ahmed and Andy Flower also prompted him to come to Pakistan and play cricket.
“It is a land where was my mother was born, it means a lot to me so yes, it is an amazing place to come and play. The fact that whole competition is in Pakistan is a huge achievement in itself, and it is great to be part of it”, Ali concluded. The Englishman is currently part of Multan Sultans in his maiden PSL stint.
