Colin Munro fell for a golden duck in the very first match of fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Quetta Gladiators. Moving on from the nightmare start in PSL 5, Munro recovered in emphatic style as he bludgeoned a glorious knock against Multan Sultans in Lahore.
The New Zealander charged at the bowlers in his trademark style, belting meaty blows that travelled far and wide into the stands. The left-handed opener blasted four sixes and three fours in his quick-fire half-century, laying the foundation for Islamabad United’s commandeering win in their second game of the season.
Munro’s return to form and his maiden PSL fifty is a very good sign for Islamabad heading into the business end of the tournament. He was eventually dismissed by Shahid Afridi for 50, but his dismissal did little to hamper Islamabad’s rampant journey towards victory.
