To give a traditional touch to the immensely loved Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the induction of Urdu commentary. Therefore, the matches started experiencing a brief patch of commentary in the local language. In all honestly, the idea looked brilliant.
However, first few games also raised questions towards the quality of the commentary. Recently, former Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Rashid Latif also jumped on the bandwagon by sharing his opinion on the matter. The cricketer turned expert highlighted the technicalities of the Urdu language by putting the emphasis on the right use of masculine and feminine terms.
Rashid feels that having Urdu commentary on the game is a fine initiative, but the quality should be of top notch. Moreover, he is extremely delighted to see Pakistan hosting all the games of the 6-team event as it has installed a different kind of vibe among all the fans.
