Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed led from the front in emphatic style to engineer a five-wicket win for his team over Karachi Kings on the fourth day of PSL 5. Sarfaraz smashed 41 in the previous contest against Peshawar Zalmi and carried his good form into the subsequent PSL outing.
Sarfaraz turned up the heat during a wonderful stand with Azam Khan to power Quetta Gladiators towards the 159-run target. He was at his belligerent best in the over against young Arshad Iqbal, punishing him for a six and a boundary to lift Quetta’s spirits in their pursuit of the target.
The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman remained till the very end to help Quetta taste their second triumph of the tournament. Sarfaraz amassed a significant sum of 37 runs from 28 deliveries in his glorious innings.
