Just few hours before the start of the highly valued Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) suspended hard-hitting batsman Umar Akmal from playing cricket. It all happened because the Quetta Gladiators player violated the clause 4.7.1 of the anti-corruption code of PCB.
However, he recently got immense support from his elder brother Kamran Akmal who believes that Umar isn’t a person who gets engaged in heinous activities. The explosive wicket-keeper batsman said that the case was presented in a wrong manner by some media outlets and Umar is showing his full cooperation to PCB’s anti-corruption unit.
Moreover, he urged the fans and all the cricket pundits to refrain from forming opinions about Umar. He requested them to wait for the investigation to complete before degrading his brother. Moreover, Kamran is extremely confident to see Umar getting cleared from this matter soon. It remains to be seen how things fare for Umar as the career of 29-year old cricketer hangs by a thread.
