The legacy of wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal can hardly be questioned when it comes to Pakistan Super League (PSL). While other batters have struggled to score a single PSL ton, the run machine has mustered three of them. Even the ongoing edition of the 20-over competition is seeing Kamran Akmal flying high with bat for Peshawar Zalmi.
All this allowed him to increase a swell in his support as recently former Pakistan paceman Shoaib Akhtar admired the prowess of the hard-hitting batsman. The cricketer turned pundit said that Kamran is clearly the best opener of PSL because he has continued to accumulate a plethora of runs in all the seasons of PSL.
Reviewing the consistent and sparkling shows of the 38-year old cricketer, Shoaib moved forward to demand his inclusion in the national side. He also added that Kamran has done enough to get back into the T20 team purely as a batsman. It remains to be seen how he fares in the rest of the 6-team event.
