Despite the embarrassment in the last 4 years, Lahore Qalandars have hardly learned anything. They have continued to make the same mistakes in crunch moments and spilled many contests. Recently, they did the same against Islamabad United as they allowed their tail to wag, making sure that Lahore stretches their winless streak against Islamabad since 2017.
All that ended up shattering the fans of Lahore who were confident to see their team registering their first victory in PSL 2020. However, skipper of Lahore, Sohail Akhtar has promised to come back strongly in the forthcoming fixtures of Qalandars. The hard-hitting batsman rued the defeat against United, but insisted on picking positives to be used later in the tournament.
Sohail didn’t shy away from admitting that Lahore allowed the match to slip from their hands. Nevertheless, he credited Musa Khan and Ahmed Safi Abdullah for showing great match awareness. Lahore will now be up against the quality of Peshawar Zalmi on February 28 in Rawalpindi.
