Multan International Stadium was buzzing and dancing as cricket returned home after a decade-long wait. Multan took on Peshawar Zalmi at their own backyard and made a great call to field first. On a shiny surface of the Multan’s International stadium, the ball started to zip and seam early on.
The quality bowling from the Multan’s seamers dismantled the top-order of Peshawar Zalmi. Peshawar could not really get going despite a classical knock from Haider Ali and managed to score only 123 runs. Sohail Tanvir was the star of the show with 4 wickets to his name.
In reply, Zalmi bowlers made the match interesting by getting 3 quick wickets up front. But Rilee Rossouw and Khushdil Shah held their nerves on a nipping surface and got their side home with 6 wickets remaining and 31 balls left in the pocket. Wahab Riaz picked up 2 wickets while Hasan Ali and Rahat Ali picked up 1 wicket each.
