South Africa surrendered in front of a dominant Australian performance in the 3rd and final T20I game at Cape Town. The home side was on the back foot right from the word go as David Warner and Aaron Finch launched the assault on the South African bowling line-up. With the 120 runs opening partnership, Australia took the lead right away.
Despite a comeback from South Africa in the middle-overs, Australia still managed to post a hefty total of 193 runs with the loss of 5 wickets. In reply, South Africa had a stumbling start courtesy a fiery spell from Mitchell Starc. The left-arm fast bowler inflicted pain by removing the Proteas skipper Quinton de Kock with a ripper.
The incompetent Proteas batting line-up on the day succumbed to a great bowling display from the Kangaroos and were just bowled out for 96 runs- their 2nd lowest total in the T20Is. Mitchell Starc was named man of the match in the series decider courtesy a magical spell of bowling.
