One of the notable performances in the match between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi was Mohammad Ilyas’ bowling spell. The right-arm fast bowler delivered a quality spell as he picked up 2 wickets for his side and gave away only 23 runs in his 3 over spell.
Ilyas consistently bowled good lines and got the ball to zip away off the surface. He dismissed Shoaib Malik and Liam Livingstone. Along with Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Irfan, Ilyas’ great bowling display restricted Peshawar Zalmi to a score of 123 runs- which was later chased easily by the home team.
It was a proud moment for the youngster to deliver in front of a jam-packed home crowd. Ilyas has been a consistent performer for the Sultan’s for the last couple of Pakistan Super League season. The right-arm fast bowler has now taken 16 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 22.65.
