Sohail Tanvir continues to reign supreme in T20 cricket given his unorthodox bowling action and fine ability to bamboozle batsmen with his array of variations. Despite being rendered out of favour for national selection, Tanvir is one of the most dangerous exponents of seam bowling in the shortest format.
His glittering record in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was embellished by another match-winning performance during the encounter between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans. The left-arm speedster snaffled four wickets and gave away just 13 runs as Multan completed a comprehensive win in their home game.
Tanvir snapped the big fish Kamran Akmal early in Zalmi’s innings and later claimed Haider Ali, who looked the only batsman from the touring party that could take the game away from Multan. Tanvir then returned in his final spell to clean up the tail as Zalmi were shot out for a paltry total of 123.
