Khushdil Shah was in blistering form in the clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Multan Sultans as he played a pivotal role in ensuring the home side’s victory by an emphatic margin of six wickets. The left-handed batsman is known for his power-hitting abilities and he turned up the heat with plenty of luscious hits after his side was rocked by a frequent loss of wickets.
Multan’s path towards an easy win was derailed by the quick strikes leaving them in precarious spot at 47/4 inside seven overs. Instantly, Khushdil provided solid company to veteran batter Rilee Rossouw as the two stitched a wonderful unbeaten 77-run partnership.
Khushdil was unable to conjure a significant contribution in the previous games and did justice to faith bestowed in him by the selectors by smashing 43 off 29 deliveries in a winning cause. Having already made his international debut for Pakistan, Khushdil’s handy knock against Zalmi will do wonders to his confidence.
