In the last 2 years or so, Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has performed miraculously well. Be it the red-ball matches or the white-ball cricket, the domestic stalwart was found giving his best. Even he is counted among the greats of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he is the leading run-getter of the 20-over competition.
Akmal’s classy outings have recently managed to garner admiration from the ex-South African cricketer Hashim Amla. The 36-year old, who is currently serving as the batting mentor of Peshawar Zalmi, went on to call Kamran a proper asset. Moreover, Amla lauded the dedication and commitment of the wicket-keeper batsman which aids him in going strong even at the age of 38.
“Kamran Akmal is a fantastic player. He has done a good job for Pakistan for many years and still looks hungry. It is a pleasing sight to see the dedication and commitment he carries for his batting. Kamran is a dynamite player and certainly an asset to have in any team,” said by former South African skipper as he showered heaps of praise on Peshawar Zalmi’s key player.
