After a spate of ordinary performances, Multan Sultans skipper Shan Masood finally came to the party in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) encounter against Karachi Kings. Often deemed as a one-trick pony suitable for performing only in Test cricket, Shan amassed an excellent contribution in Multan.
Following a period of relative silence, Shan sprang into action in the middle overs by picking up the scoring rate. The left-handed opener demoted himself to the No. 3 position and dished out seven fours and a solitary maximum in his 42-ball stay at the crease.
Shan made 61 and powered Multan to a substantial score despite the frequent loss of wickets on the other end. His efforts allowed the home side reach a match-winning total of 186-6 in 20 overs.
