The scenes in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) aren’t any different as Lahore has continued a flop show in the 20-over event. After losing a close game against Islamabad United, Qalandars were expected to come hard at Zalmi.
However, the burst only lasted for few overs as Lahore kept their tradition of being good in patches. Chasing a formidable total of 133 in 12 overs, Qalandars ran out of the gas after the conclusion of powerplay overs and lost the game by 25 runs.
On a dismal day, it was the quality of paceman Dilbar Hussain which proved to be the biggest positive. In an extremely inexperienced pace attack, the right-handed quick had to take a leading role against a quality side of Peshawar and he did it with success.
In his quota of 3 overs, the 27-year old cricketer claimed 4 wickets by conceding only 24 runs. His best show in T20 cricket helped Lahore record a comeback in the game, but their self-destruction kept making an appearance to handle them a third successive defeat in PSL 2020.
