India took on New Zealand in the 2nd Test match at Christchurch on Saturday morning but the things did not look easy for the visitors. India was bowled out for just 242 in their first innings. The Indian captain Virat Kohli’s poor run continues in New Zealand as he was dismissed again for the score of 3. India managed to put a total of 242 runs courtesy half-centuries from Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihrai. The young seam bowler Kyle Jamieson grabbed his maiden 5-fer whereas Trent Boult and Tim Southee picked up 2 wickets each.
With a few overs remaining before the close of play, New Zealand went out to bat and put 63 runs on the board without any loss. Tom Latham and Tom Blundell are currently on strike and will resume the innings from the 2nd day onwards.
