Karachi Kings head coach Dean Jones backs his team’s opener Sharjeel Khan to open the innings for Pakistan in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup. Sharjeel, who was forced out of International cricket due to spot fixing charges back in 2017, is now back in the top-quality cricket after Pakistan Cricket Board lifted his ban.
In the ongoing Pakistan Super League, Sharjeel did have few starts but could not manage to convert his figures to a big score. Dean Jones feel that Sharjeel will be a good option as an opener for Pakistan in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
"I think Sharjeel is good enough to open the batting for Pakistan in the World Cup," says Dean Jones. Remember, recently Imad Wasim also backed Sharjeel’s performance and said that he is his key player and will continue to play for the franchise regardless of his performances.
