Lahore Qalandars continues to struggle in the HBL Pakistan Super League edition 5 as they lost their 3rd game on the trot. Against Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore failed to chase 132 runs in 12 overs despite an electric start from Chris Lynn and Fakhar Zaman.
Lahore’s lack of batting depth has been haunting them in the ongoing season. Except for the top 3 batsmen, no other player has managed to impress the fans in the shortest format of the game. Lahore’s captain Sohail Akhtar is also struggling for runs.
On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman and Chris Lynn have not been consistent with the bat in hand as well. The batting woes and the team’s lack of balance have become real concerns for the Lahore Qalandars. With Salman Butt on the bench, Lahore might think of chipping him in just to add a little balance in the side. The experience campaigners Mohammad Hafeez and Sohail Akhtar also needs to take the responsibility of misery-ridden batting line-up if Lahore wants to create an impact in this year’s HBL PSL.
