Multan topples over Quetta in a run-fest at home

Multan Sultans continue their winning streak at home as they have won 3 games on the trot at home. Batting first, Multan Sultans faced early problems when they lost 3 wickets without much runs on the board. Multan’s captain Shan Masood and Rilee Rossouw played brilliantly in the latter half of the innings and posted a target of 200 for Quetta Gladiators to chase.

Rilee scored a brilliant century for Multan and it came off just 44 balls. In reply, Quetta had a promising start courtesy fireworks from Jason Roy and Shane Watson. Roy’s wicket halted breaks on Quetta’s dominant progress, however; Watson continued to play a blinder.

The Australian all-rounder scored a brilliant 80 off just 41 balls. His knock included 7 fours and 7 sixes. Multan made a great comeback with the ball in hand and picked up quick wickets in the latter half of the innings. Quetta fell short off 30 runs at the end. Bilawal Bhatti, who was making a comeback in Pakistan Super League, bowled brilliantly and picked up 3 wickets for 26 runs.
