South Africa recently got hit with a massive blow as the pace spearhead Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the cricketing action for up to four weeks. A medical examination revealed that the 24-year old suffered a groin muscle strain. This means that the right-handed quick would not be available for the ODI series against Australia and South Africa.
Claiming 117 wickets in 75 games, Rabada is one of the strongest pacers of South African ranks. Hence, there comes an additional pressure on the rest of the pacers for the 6 ODI games against the two quality sides. Needless to say, they will have to put up a strong show to cover Rabada’s absence.
The medical staff of Cricket South Africa ensured that they will try their best to have the dexterous bowler back in the shape. Knowing his injury, Rabada is likely to return to action in the forthcoming edition of the highly valued Indian Premier League (IPL) where he would represent Delhi Capitals.
