Despite having arguably the best team on paper, Karachi Kings have failed to record a strong start in the highly admired edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In front of an energetic crowd, Multan Sultans flattened the quality of Karachi Kings to get installed among the top position of the points table.
Karachi’s skipper Imad Wasim made a strange decision as the rising spin sensation Umer Khan didn’t bowl a single over in the game. All this ignited a pool of criticism against him and the recent man to join the clan is the former Pakistan paceman Tanvir Ahmed.
The 41-year old didn’t shy away from calling the all-rounder a ‘dreadful skipper’. Tanvir believes that from bowling changes to field placements, Imad functioned poorly as the leader of the side. He also said that continuing in such a mode will only deteriorate Kings chance of making it to the play-offs of the competition. It remains to be seen how things fare for Karachi in their forthcoming fixtures of the 20-over competition.
