Coming to make his Pakistan Super League (PSL) debut, a lot of good things were expected from South African paceman Dale Steyn. However, he failed to make an impact with ball in the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium as Karachi’s batters recorded a sturdy show.
Defending a total of 183 runs, the aggressive paceman started things brilliantly as he bowled only the second maiden in the history of the 20-over event. Unfortunately, he lost the control in the next 3 overs to concede a total of 37 runs in his allotted quota of 4 overs.
He claimed the price wicket of Cameron Delport, but remained expensive by conceding boundaries at crunch moments to see United losing their 3rd game of PSL 2020. Earlier, Islamabad batted first to score 183 runs on the board. They were powered by batting heroics of Luke Ronchi and Shadab Khan, but the quality of Karachi’s batting overshadowed everything. With this win, Karachi got reinstalled in the top 4 teams of the points table.
