New Zealand has continued to stamp their authority on India as the hosts defeated the visitors in the second match of the two-game Test series. Bossing the men in blue by 7 wickets in Christchurch means that Kiwis won the series 2-0.
Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper was unimpressed by his batting department as he held it responsible for his team’s dismal show in New Zealand. The batting genius, who recorded his second worst runs tally in Tests, braced the bowling department for fighting hard, but added that batters never put enough runs on the board to challenge the might of Blackcaps.
In addition to this, he highlighted the inability of India regarding not closing things well. Kohli said that his unit was good only in patches, which didn’t help their cause. Important to note, this was India’s second successive defeat in the global red-ball championship. However, they continue to boss the points table with 360 points. Australia is on the second spot with 296 points while New Zealand recorded progress to enter the top 3 teams of this competition.
