Lahore Qalandars have continued their tradition of losing as they are sitting with 0 points while reeling on the bottom of the points table. While they came close to beating Peshawar and Islamabad, Multan was found bossing them. Currently, they seem to be the only unit not having the ability to quality for the play-offs of the competition.
Recently, Lahore’s downfall was dissected by their head coach Aaqib Javed who has produced the worst results for any franchise in Pakistan Super League (PSL). He believes that it is the batting of Lahore which is causing a major issue. Particularly, he highlighted the inability of the middle-order to utilize the starts provided by top-order. Therefore, he added, bowlers don’t get much to defend.
However, it is important to note that it was the bowling department which struggled against Islamabad and Peshawar by conceding large totals. Moreover, he seemed unconcerned about Lahore’s dismal show as he said that the Qalandars can also win three games in a row to make a comeback.
