India skipper Virat Kohli’s on-field behavior has come under the scanner lately when he gave a rather heated send-off to Tom Latham in the first innings of the second Test. Kohli’s animated celebrations saw him make gestures to the crowd as he appeared to mouth abusive words.
When asked about the moment where he lost his temper in the field in the press conference following India’s seven-wicket defeat, Kohli sparred with a journalist and told him to avoid looking for unnecessary controversies.
"What do you think?” a visibly vexed Kohli said in response. "You need to find out exactly what happened and then come with a better question. You can't come here with half questions and half details of what happened,” he added.
"And also, if you want to create controversy, this is not the right place to be. I had spoken to the match referee and he had no issues with what happened,” Kohli claimed.
