Peshawar Zalmi skipper Darren Sammy has categorically denied all claims of friction between him and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owner Javed Afridi. Sammy was recently dropped from the team in their clash against Karachi Kings, prompting rumours of a misunderstanding between him and the management.
Replying to all the reports circulating in the media, Sammy has stated he harbours a deep bond with Afridi and that there will never be any issues with him. The Caribbean all-rounder also claimed that the Peshawar Zalmi team was his baby since he has been with them since the inception of the league.
Earlier, gossip about a feud among Sammy and Zalmi arose due to the cricketer’s cryptic tweet following his exclusion of the playing XI in the Rawalpindi encounter. “I’ve learnt that you are important until you’ve completed your role. #dealingwithhumans,” Sammy wrote on Twitter.
