Qalandars' lackluster bowling under the scanner
Lahore Qalandars crashed to a humiliating defeat right after their first win in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Failing to carry the momentum from the hard-earned victory, the Qalandars’ bowling attack was exposed for their deficiencies against likes of Luke Ronchi and Colin Munro.
The two opening batsmen feasted on the Qalandars’ bowling lineup, which was missing the services of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and David Wiese, all of whom are nursing injuries at the moment. Amidst this backdrop, the Qalandars bowlers fared poorly and ended up making an unfortunate record.
The partnership between Ronchi and Munro was the ninth century-partnership that Lahore Qalandars have conceded throughout the competition’s history. This is the most times a team has been on the receiving end of such mammoth stands.
