Just like the past 4 seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lahore is suffering from injury issues in the ongoing edition of the 20-over tournament. For instance, they played their last contest without two premier bowlers; Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. Not only that, emerging fast bowler Dilbar Hussain got injured during the match.
This is one of the reasons of Lahore pocketing only 1 victory in their first 5 games of the 6-team event. Recently, skipper of Lahore Qalandars, Sohail Akhtar provided an injury update on the three quicks. The hard-hitting batsman revealed that Shaheen, Haris and Dilbar all are expected to be fit and available for Lahore’s next fixture, which is scheduled to take place on March 7 against Quetta. Moreover, Sohail relished a 2-day gap as he believes that it has given his unit a good chance to rest.
In the absence of key players, Lahore’s pace department was found struggling and getting smashed regularly. It remains to be seen how Qalandars fare in their next 5 games as they would have to play out of their skin to qualify for the play-offs of the competition.
