The massive crowd at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium witnessed another remarkable game of cricket on the rainy night. With the quota of 20 overs per side cut to 15 overs, the batting sides were in mood of smashing every ball out of the park.
Batting first, Peshawar displayed a show of raining sixes and fours and put up a massive total of 170 in 15 overs. In reply, Quetta Gladiators started the innings strongly with Shane Watson and Jason Roy on the crease. Quetta lost Watson early in the hefty run chase, but Roy continued to plunder bowlers.
Jason Roy played a blistering innings of 45 runs of just 26 balls, his knock included 5 fours and 2 massive sixes. His stellar knock did not prove to be enough for the Gladiators as they fell short of 30 runs at the end. Jason Roy has been in prolific hitting form, these are good signs for the England cricket team ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020.
