The International Cricket Council (ICC) has appointed Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza as one of the on-field umpires for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 final. The grand finale will be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between hosts Australia and India on March 8.
Ahsan is a member of the ICC’s International Panel of Umpires and was also named an on-field umpire for the semi-final between India and England, which was washed out without a bowl delivered. The former wicketkeeper-batsman played 21 first-class matches from 1993 to 2000.
His on-field partner in the final will be Kim Cotton, while Gregory Braithwaite will be the third umpire and Langton Rusere as the fourth umpire. Chris Broad of the Elite Panel of Match Referees will lead the playing control team.
