These are early days for the West Indian cricketer Darren Sammy as the head coach of Peshawar Zalmi, but he is already relishing the experience. Interestingly, the explosive all-rounder is available both as a player and a coach for the unit.
Recently, he was asked to share his views on adopting a different role for Zalmi. Sammy said that he is loving the job as everyone has backed him a lot. Saying that, he revealed that he has a different style of doing his work and would continue to do so.
Moreover, the 36-year old cricketer is confident to see his team registering a berth for the play-offs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. Sammy admitted that the situation isn’t straight forward for the yellow team, but highlighted how Peshawar countered tough situations in past which gave them a lot of self-belief. Having 9 points in 8 games, it remains to be seen if the team qualifies for the next stage of the 6-team competition.
