South Africa’s head coach Mark Boucher said that his team will avoid customary hand-shakes on the upcoming tour of India. This decision has been taken taking into consideration the fear of Corona Virus. The team management has decided to adhere to strict medical pre-cautions and avoid even hand-shaking.
South African coach Mark Boucher said, “With regards to handshakes and type of stuff that's a concern, so it will probably be fine if we do the same if it comes to that. I think it's a way to stop anything from happening to our guys. I think it's out of respect for players around you and not to pass on something that you might have.”
South Africa is set to play 3 ODI games against India starting from 12th March 2020 and will end on 18th March 2020. Post the ODI series, a few Proteas cricketers will stay back in India to participate in the upcoming Indian Premier League season.
