Mahmudullah and Mustafizur Rahman have been excluded from the red-ball central contract list released by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). The decision to omit the names of the two players from the list comes at the back of their mediocre showings in the longer version of the game.
Mahmudullah was recently asked by the board to focus on white-ball cricket following his twin flops against Pakistan last month in Rawalpindi. Meanwhile, Mustafizur’s lingering injury woes has repeatedly rendered him unavailable for the grueling requirements of Test cricket.
The two individuals have been handed contracts for just the limited-overs formats of the game. Additionally, Mohammad Saifuddin, Afif Hossain and Mohammad Naim have been given contracts only for ODIs.
