Australia’s batsman Chris Lynn is one of the finest batters of the T20 cricket. Playing franchise-based 20-over leagues across the globe, the belligerent striker has shown his prowess time and again to earn the title of ‘T20 specialist’ and his recent power-show in Lahore reaffirmed the notion.
After failing to impress in his first 5 games, the powerful striker was found in rhythm against Peshawar Zalmi. In an important game of the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) between Qalandars and Zalmi, the platinum pick of Lahore made amends for his failures of previous contests. Losing the prowess of skipper Sohail Akhtar early, Lahore was in a need of a strong performance and Lynn rose to the occasion to smash his 35th T20 half-century.
Consuming only 32 balls, the 29-year old cricketer smashed 59 runs to lead a strong batting performance. Doing so, Lynn smashed 6 fours and 3 sixes to decimate the bowling unit of Peshawar. His crucial partnership with the opening batsman Fakhar Zaman allowed Lahore to topple a quality side like Zalmi and take the 3rd position on the points table of PSL 2020.
