Peshawar Zalmi batting sensation Haider Ali has been grabbing the headlines with his tremendous performances in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Always managing to unleash blistering drives in his short stays at the crease, Haider finally showed maturity and batted for a long period in the clash against Lahore Qalandars.
The 19-year-old, who was described as one of the stars in the Under-19 World Cup, smashed 69 in his brilliant knock laced with four sixes and four boundaries. The young right-handed batsman came into bat in the midst of a chaotic batting collapse but saw his side through to safety in the company of Shoaib Malik.
Haider stitched a valuable partnership of 116 with Malik, rescuing his side from dire straits at 24/3 inside the fourth over. Haider finally departed at the fag-end of the innings after conjuring a 43-ball 69, helping Zalmi reach a competitive total of 187/7 in 20 overs.
