Former South African Cricketers, Jonty Rhodes has expressed his views over the impeding comeback of MR.360 AB de Villiers ahead of the ICC T20 Cricket World Cup. With the new management in charge of the CSA, de Villiers recently opened up about his willingness to return to South Africa’s national side. This decision is welcomed by the former cricketers and the coaching staff of Cricket South Africa.
Recently, the former player of South Africa Jonty Rhodes has revealed his opinion over AB’s comeback. “I am a big fan of AB de Villiers. I am not sure of the precedent. If you want to win a T20 World Cup, you should do anything to win it. You are not breaking any rules, you are setting a slight precedent and you are going to be upsetting a few players who are going to miss out”, he said.
“But a team without AB or a team with AB... I would love to see that guy play”, he concluded. AB de Villiers is set to feature in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, AB’s performance will be key in determining his presence in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
