One of the most pleasing sights of the game between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi was the batting of opening batsman Fakhar Zaman. Coming into the game, the left-hander was surrounded with a pool of criticism as a series of unimpressive outings started raising many questions.
However, the concerns were put to rest as the aggressive batsman produced an elite batting outing against Peshawar to help Lahore win an important game and bag the player of the match award.
For a stunning batting show, Fakhar Zaman went on to credit Australian star batsman Chris Lynn who contributed well with a timely half-century. The elegant lefty revealed that Lynn took all the pressure off him by urging him to play his natural game without taking any pressure. Lynn taking charge of the situation also allowed Fakhar to play with a clear mind and score vital runs for Qalandars. This aided Lahore in beating Peshawar for the first time since 2016.
