Seemingly dead and buried, Lahore Qalandars have produced a thrilling comeback in the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). After losing the first three games, the green team went on to win 4 of their next 5 contests to get placed in a good position of making it to the next stage of the 6-team event.
Particularly, the victory over a quality side like Peshawar Zalmi garnered admiration from all the circles. This also attracted the film industry as renowned actor Fahad Mustafa was found in awe of Lahore Qalandars. Reacting to Qalandars’ outclass show against Zalmi, the 36-year old landed accolades on Lahore’s unit. Moreover, Fahad feels that Lahore has acquired the momentum and it would not be easy to stop them in their future games.
Lahore is now left with games against arch-rivals Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans to occupy a play-offs berth for the first time in the history of the 20-over tournament. It remains to be seen how they perform in these contests.
