Lahore Qalandars paceman Dilbar Hussain has copped a fine for his aggressive celebration during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) clash against Peshawar Zalmi. The incident occurred amidst Zalmi’s innings when Dilbar dismissed opposing batter Haider Ali.
The young Zalmi batting sensation was caught off the bowling by Dilbar, just a ball after depositing a maximum. Dilbar then launched into an animated celebration that was deemed provocative by the umpires.
"Dilbar reacted in a manner that could have provoked a reaction from the departing batsman,” the press release from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) read. The charges against Dilbar were levelled by on-field umpires Aleem Dar and Michael Gough, third umpire Asif Yaqoob and fourth umpire Nasir Hussain.
