Karachi Kings has broken his silence on the continued exclusion of Mohammad Rizwan in the team’s playing XI this season. Rizwan has thus far played only one game in the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with the management preferring Chadwick Walton for the keeping job.
His persistent absence from the team is particularly alarming given the fact he is the current national wicket-keeper in all formats. Talking about this tactic, Imad claimed that there was no doubt on Rizwan’s abilities but he did not fit in the team combination.
“It is how it is. We can’t fit him in the team considering the team composition and if he cannot be fit in playing XI then he cannot, it is like that,” Imad told reporters ahead on the eve of the match.
“I know he is ready and practicing a lot with Dean Jones on his power-hitting but if his place can’t be made in the playing XI then what can we do?” he rhetorically asked.
