Khurram Manzoor set up a stunning batting exhibition in the final league game of the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as he earned the player of the match prize in Quetta Gladiators’ clash against Karachi Kings.
Manzoor, who has donned Pakistan’s national jersey across 26 international games, came out all guns blazing to slam nine fours and one six in his 40-ball 63. Manzoor’s ravishing knock helped Quetta cruise to the modest target of 151 inside 17 overs.
He was involved in a stellar 118-run stand for the second wicket after Ahmed Shehzad was dismissed in the first over of the chase. Manzoor’s brilliant innings begs the question regarding the team management’s reluctance to include the right-hander in the playing XI in earlier games.
