Quetta Gladiators Shane Watson went out of the fifth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with one final blazing innings, smoking four magnificent maximums in his 34-ball 66 against Karachi Kings. The veteran Aussie had a mixed campaign with the bat, managing two fifties over the course of the tournament.
Despite problems regarding his consistency of late, Watson’s entertaining knock helped him etch his name in the record books as he now boasts a tally of 79 sixes in PSL history – the most for any batsman since the inception of the league in 2016.
Watson’s unparalleled six-hitting prowess is no mean feat for a player of his caliber as he continues to grab the headlines for his cricketing skills even though he has stepped away from the game for a significant period. He was earlier with the Islamabad United and joined the Quetta Gladiators in subsequent seasons.
