The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend its functionings in the Mumbai office headquarters owing to rising concerns regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus. The BCCI has now given its employees the option of working from home till the threat of the virus subdues to an extent.
"All employees in Mumbai Headquarters have been given the option to work from home from tomorrow onwards. Those who want to come to the office can come," a BCCI official confirmed.
The BCCI has already delayed the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to travel restrictions imposed by the government, which would have made it impossible for the overseas players to arrive in India. India has so far reported over 120 cases of the COVID-19 with all cricketing operations suspended in the country.
