Ahead of the knock-out stage of the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the tournament. The decision came after the situation went from bad to worse and the country continued to experience a rise in the cases of Corona Virus.
Like others, Peshawar Zalmi’s owner Javed Afridi has reacted to this news and welcomed the decision taken by the tournament organizers. He believes that it comes as a major disappointment for everyone as fans were looking forward to see the final four teams rolling back into the action. However, he added that the ongoing health circumstances of the country weren’t right and PCB took a decision which needs to be lauded.
Not only that, the 34-year old prayed for the safety of everyone as the situation seems to exacerbate in Pakistan. It is important to note that Peshawar was meant to play Multan in their semi-final game before the decision to postpone PSL was taken and made public.
