Twitter reacts to the postponement of PSL 5

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) called off the semi-finals and the final match of HBL PSL 5 with immediate effect due to the prevailing fear of Coronavirus. The matches were scheduled to take place on the 17th and 18th March but on the morning of Tuesday PCB decided to postpone the event considering the well-being of the players.

PCB has also announced that if the event fails to take place latest by 15th April 2020, the table-toppers Multan Sultans will be given the title. It was a massive disappointment for the cricket fans in Pakistan, however, the fans backed up the decision taken by PCB and said the health of the players should be the priority.

Twitterati also reacted to the postponement of the tournament. Fans, former cricketers, and celebrities expressed their support towards the PCB and also hailed the success of the tournament. PSL 5, being a great success, will be written in the good books of Pakistan’s cricket history. With cricket’s home coming, the fans in the country rejoiced each and every moment of the T20 fiesta and now they are hoping for good news from PCB very soon.
